“Want to keep winning titles”- Chelsea target says he is highly committed to staying at Real Madrid

Federico Valverde claims he wants to remain at Real Madrid amid Chelsea interest

Federico Valverde has revealed he has no plans to leave Spanish giants Real Madrid and wants to win more trophies amidst interest from Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino is keen on bringing the Uruguayan to Stamford Bridge as part of his next season’s plan, as he expects to take charge of the Blues in the coming weeks.

Besides Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool have also shown interest in signing the 24-year-old, but Madrid slapped an Β£85 million valuation on Valverde.

Following Real Madrid’s acquisition of Jude Bellingham, Real are now stacked with the likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, Valverde, and now Bellingham.

While the likes of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are set to remain for another year, as per the report. Valverde, though, has resisted moving to any club because he intends to keep representing Real Madrid.

The Uruguayan told ESPN Argentina that his focus is Los Blancos and that he aspires to win trophies with Real. (h/t Evening Standard) He continued:

“No, no, I’m at Madrid, trying to enjoy every moment and leave my mark on the best club in the world. I want to keep winning titles for Real Madrid fans.”

He is a terrific midfielder who is also versatile and can operate higher up the pitch. The 24-year-old is well-recognised for his on-field quickness and ability to cover a lot of ground.

He would undoubtedly improve our midfield, and his mobility will let him succeed everywhere on the field as well as in the middle of the pitch. But if he wishes to stay at Real Madrid, we can’t really do anything about the situation.

We need quality midfielders for the new season as Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s futures are up in the air. N’Golo Kante’s imminent exit and Conor Gallagher’s average form are also concerning and call for immediate reinforcements. If not Valverde, we must target someone who is as good as him.
