Journalist claims Al-Nassr have made an approach for Chelsea’s outcast attacker

Journalist Santi Aouna reveals Al-Nassr have approached Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech

Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna has reported that the Saudi Club is interested in signing Chelsea attacker Hakim Ziyech in the summer transfer window.

It is also understood that the 29-year-old is also interested in joining the club and share the field with Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

There is a growing feeling that Ziyech could leave Chelsea in the summer window. He came close to departing the club last January but his move to Paris Saint-Germain broke down. Due to some glitch in the paperwork, his move to the Ligue 1 club was halted. But now he can follow his Chelsea teammate N’Golo Kante to Saudi Arabia.

Chelsea are also open to selling the former Ajax Amsterdam player, who barely played last season. He was limited to just 18 Premier League games and contributed a mere three assists.

The Blues finished the 2022-23 season in the bottom half of the table and failed to qualify for Champions League for the upcoming campaign. Incoming boss Mauricio Pochettino, has a huge job on his hands and will need to revam,p the squad and it’s playing style.

The Blues will be trying to make a sale by selling a number of players to balance the payroll after spending £600 million in the last two transfer windows. A big money offer from the middle east for Ziyech would be a welcome development.

The Saudi teams’ offers have attracted several players, including Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and now Kante. The Moroccan player may be moving to the Middle East, despite the fact that Ziyech still has years left at the top.

However, it will be his decision if he wants to move, given that Chelsea are open to offloading the winger. The 29-year-old still has two years left on his contract, so if Al-Nassr comes knocking, we should demand an attractive asking price from the Saudi club so that we maximise the sale value of the player.
