Transfer News: Richarlison is keen on making the switch from Everton to Chelsea

According to tThe Sun, Everton star man Richarlison has made his decision on what he wants to do in the future with the Brazilian supposedly keen on swapping Goodison Park for the Stamford Bridge.

Richarlison joined Everton from Watford in 2018 and has since then gone on to establish himself as one of the most exciting forwards in the Premier League. Arguably Everton’s most influential player, although Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jordan Pickford might disagree.

The 25-year-old forward has played 33 times for relegation-threatened Everton this season scoring 11 goals and providing five assists. Capable of playing anywhere across the forward line, it comes as absolutely no surprise that the player feels he is ready for his next big move.

The former Watford man wants to come to Chelsea

Despite the Toffees managing to stay up by the thinnest of margins, it does seem like Richarlison is set on making a move away from Goodison Park and he apparently has Chelsea on top of the list of the clubs he would like to join for next season.

Too expensive?

Richarlison might want to come here and even if Chelsea wanted to sign the Brazilian star forward, things will not be that easy.

The former Fluminense man has a contract with the Toffees until 2024 and there is absolutely no doubt that the Merseyside club will demand maximum money to squeeze out as much as they can in selling Richarlison this summer to any club.

Richarlison has been one of the best PL stars in recent times

Chelsea do not have the luxury to break the bank on a forward this season when our priority lies elsewhere ahead of next season. The defence at Stamford Bridge is crying out for replacements and we will have to invest our cash wisely this summer to procure defenders.

Our attack is pretty well stocked and even players returning from loan like Armando Broja can take up a spot in the Blues attack. Adding another forward in Richarlison could benefit us in a sporting sense considering the Brazilian’s talent but it does not make economic sense of any sort.

Unless there is a big exit of sorts in the forward areas for Chelsea, it seems very unlikely that the Blues will pursue a deal for Richarlison this summer when our priority lies elsewhere.
