According to Calciomercato.it (h/t The Sun), Chelsea are ready to accept offers for a loan transfer with an obligation to buy for the services of Hakim Ziyech amid interest from AC Milan. He has failed to reach the heights that he had shown at Ajax Amsterdam since moving to Stamford Bridge.
Ziyech seemed set to leave the Blues the previous summer, but a move was ultimately blocked. Milan were interested then and appear to have retained their interest. They could potentially target him when the transfer window opens next month. The English club could be open to letting him leave next month, but a final decision is yet to be reached.
Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund are keeping tabs on the situation of the attacker. They could pose a challenge to the Serie A club in the coming transfer windows. The latter have also shown an interest in the wantaway centre-back, Malang Sarr, for a future move.
If this is how the Moroccan’s time is going to end with us, then it would be such a disappointment to see how things have not turned out as expected. There were high expectations when he arrived and, for the right reasons as he played a crucial role in his former team’s rise to the top once again.
The 28-year-old has shown glimpses of his quality, but it is not enough to justify the sum paid for him in transfer fees and wages. That could be our best bet to cut costs with him and earn a decent amount if he impresses at his loan club. But it remains to be seen whether a loan move would be accepted during a season.
Without an incoming, it is unlikely to see that we would facilitate a departure next month. We have already suffered from an injury crisis and, that has continued even now across various positions. Thus it would be puzzling to see us trim the squad even further, especially when we are competing on all possible fronts this campaign.
If we decide to part ways with the Morocco international and the Rossoneri simultaneously puts an offer for him, a transfer could easily be finalised. That is because of the already established good relations between the two clubs due to their previous deals regarding Tiemoue Bakayoko, Olivier Giroud and Fikayo Tomori. Time will paint a clear picture of where the Blues winger would end up being as the winter transfer window is on the horizon.
