Hakim Ziyech opens up on why he chose to join Chelsea

Speaking to the Evening Standard, new Chelsea signing Hakim Ziyech has revealed why he chose to move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

The 27-year-old agreed to join the Blues earlier this year after a number of fruitful years at Ajax Amsterdam. Little did we know then that he would just be one of a plethora of stars making their way to the Bridge.

But he is yet to make an impact at Chelsea. This is owing to an injury he picked up in the pre-season game against Brighton.

Now that he is back in the reckoning, Ziyech is keen to integrate himself alongside Chelsea’s attacking talents.

An ambitious player, the Moroccan is looking forward to playing beautiful football and winning trophies.

“For the things to achieve I think it is clear that for everybody in the club it is winning trophies, to perform well and play beautiful football.”
