Spanish Sources – Thibaut Courtois Is Crazy About Moving Back And Joining Real Madrid

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte would certainly be a worried man at the end of the season. With Costa’s reported unhappiness at the and Matic’s recent link to Manchester United, the Italian tactician has dealt with another major blow regarding the future of his 24-year-old shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois, if the reports from the Spanish outlet COPE are to be believed, then the former Atletico Madrid loanee is ‘Crazy for Real Madrid’.

Real Madrid have always brought the quality names from English football and Courtois might well be their next big signing. The Belgium stopper has always expressed his love for Spain and the fact that his wife and family still lives there might bring fear to Chelsea’s supporter.

And now the further reports have claimed that the 24-year-old expects the Galacticos to make an offer for him in the summer transfer window, but back in November during an interview with Cope, the 24-year-old revealed that there have been no talks between him and the Galactico.

“I never had anything with Real Madrid. I did not see anything published [about rumours linking him with Los Blancos] but I never had any contact with Real Madrid.”

The Spaniard further went on to speak about his situation at the Bridge and mentioned that he might sign a new contract at the end of the season, but Thibaut, we all are aware of the fact that the kind of offer Real Madrid are capable of providing, it will take a big-big heart to reject it.

“I never said that I wanted to leave Chelsea. I have a contract until 2019. Since I’m two-and-a-half years left [we haven’t spoken about a renewal]. Maybe at the end of the season [we shall speak] but for now it’s ok. At the end of the season we can talk, I guess Chelsea will do it because they trust in me, they see that I am good, that I am helping the team and I believe [that a new contract] is good for them and for me.”

These rumours have taken place following Real Madrid’s number one’s – Keylor Navas – failure to guard the post as he was expected. The Costa Rican underwent a surgery in the summer and since his return, he has failed to live up to the billing as he has conceded 21 goals in 18 games and this has highlighted the fact that the defending Champions League winners need a trusted sheriff in between the sticks.

Even though Zidane has mentioned that he is quite happy with his three Real Madrid goalkeepers, it is all but understood that they will be embarking the market in the summer to bring a suitable and futuristic replacement.

The Los Blancos were heavily linked with a move for Manchester United’s David de Gea, but thanks to that famous fax machine, the move never materialized and since then, Madrid are believed to be in the market for a quality keeper.
