Chelsea have been looking to sign Italy international Antonio Candreva into the squad this summer, however the Blues reportedly got beaten by Inter Milan who won the race for the player’s signature.
The player was one of Antonio Conte’s targets for the summer after having played under the manager during the European Championships. Further, there were speculation regarding the player’s move to be Stamford Bridge to be a confirmed deal, however the chances of Chelsea signing the player appears to be very slim.
Reports from Gazzetta Dello Sport claims that Inter Milan have agreed a deal to sign the player with the latter’s club. The reports suggest that the clubs agreed a deal worth £20.1m for the player move to Inter and an additional £800,000 will be paid if Candreva helps the club qualify for 2017-2018 champions league.
Had the deal been successful Candreva would have been a third signing for the Blues after Michy Batshuayi and N’Golo Kante.
