Mandzukic The Man For Chelsea?

Demba Ba, Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto’o – three strikers who don’t exactly fill you with excitement, right? Well, imagine being a Chelsea fan. While Manchester United have Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck, Manchester City have Alvaro Negredo, Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko. Then, look back at Chelsea’s choice again. But there is one man who I believe would be perfect for the Stamford Bridge club.

Mario Mandzukic played 24 Bundesliga goals last season and managed to scored 15 goals and create 18 chances, while holding a shot accuracy of 66%. This time round he has been involved in 16 league games and scored 10 and has again showed just how strong of a forward he is.

He has the presence, the strength, the confidence and the ability in the air to make an impact for Chelsea, and with Robert Lewandowski arriving at Bayern Munich in the summer it could be the perfect opportunity for the Croatia frontman to make a move a start afresh elsewhere.

For me, Ba needs to be offloaded and both Torres and Eto’o should follow him in the summer, with Mandzukic coming in  this month and Romelu Lukaku returning from his loan spell in the summer.
