After his team were humiliated 6-0 by Chelsea on Monday night, Everton manager Sean Dyche spoke out about what he called a “horrid” evening for his team. Nicolas Jackson scored Chelsea’s fourth goal just before halftime after Cole Palmer had already scored three goals in less than thirty minutes.

Four minutes after the hour, Palmer scored again from the penalty spot. Alfie Gilchrist, a childhood Blues supporter, completed the scoring in injury time with his magnificent performance. With only two points separating them from Luton Town in 18th place, Everton are now deep in relegation jeopardy ahead of their crucial matchup with Nottingham Forest in 17th position on Sunday.

It’s true that Dyche and Everton have faced significant challenges this season, including points deductions and ongoing takeover drama. These external factors can certainly add pressure and impact team performance.

 “Really poor. Miles off the intent and desire to win a match. You have to give strength, put a tackle in. I thought we were mildly better second half but the first half miles off. We created 10 chances away from home. They had 14.”

“We can’t perform like that at a place like this. The key moments when they got chances, finding the back of the net, we haven’t done that all season.”

With only one victory in 15 games, Dyche is under fire, and his team’s financial concerns are also becoming worse off the field. The manager of Everton thinks that in order to surpass their winning record, they will need to make significant improvements.
