Mauricio Pochettino praises Chelsea star Cole Palmer for his performances

Mauricio Pochettino has been pleased with how Chelsea star Cole Palmer has been a standout performer, always delivers when it matters the most, and takes responsibility when the team is faring poorly.

Palmer has reached astonishing milestones with the club since joining them and has already recorded 17 goals this season across all competitions. His signing has seen the club enhance their goal-scoring prowess.

The former Manchester City attacker has established himself as a household name in his debut season and has continued to wow supporters and the manager with spectacular performances. The forward will be determined to raise his goal total and assist the team in moving up the Premier League standings with a number of games remaining.

Pochettino has been satisfied with the way the 21-year-old has fared since coming to the Blues. Speaking to the Chelsea website, he praised Palmer’s performance and said:

‘’From day one, he has taken responsibility. In terms of penalties and in the game. When the team is struggling to find solutions, he wants to take the ball.’’

Cole Palmer has produced 17 goals in all competitions for Chelsea.

He joined us at the age of 21, and since then, he has demonstrated far more maturity than other seasoned players. His ability to score and find guys with his defence-piercing passes always leaves the opposition surprised. In some ways, he has improved the team’s performance; when things seem hopeless, he uses his traits to turn things around and score goals.

The draw against Burnley served as additional evidence of his sturdy performance and ability to score two goals. We were just disappointed that we were unable to hold onto our lead and win the game. But when we have a player like Palmer, who is incredibly excellent, other players will follow him also since he has all the qualities to lead the team and rank among the greatest in the future. Players of his talent and calibre are hard to come by at just 21 years old. With him, Let’s hope we win many big trophies in the future.
