“I watched 5 minutes”- Jurgen Klopp takes savage dig at Chelsea after 5-0 Arsenal loss

Jurgen Klopp fires shot Chelsea and says he didn’t keep expectations from them to defeat Arsenal

Jurgen Klopp took a dig at Chelsea’s embarrassing defeat to Arsenal after the Gunners slammed five goals past the Blues, and the West Londoners registered one of their heaviest defeats in London Derby since 1980.

Klopp didn’t get what he was seeking for as Arsenal kept up their title challenge. Klopp thought the Blues would overcome Arsenal and aid the Reds. Liverpool’s chances of winning the championship, however, may have been shattered by their 2-0 loss to Everton.

On the other hand, the Blues face their own problems, as their poor performance resulted in more unrest among the fans after they were thrashed by the Gunners. Chelsea aim for this season to secure a spot in European competition, but their next game could put a dent in their ambitions.

A win for them could have strengthened their hopes for European qualification and given a helping hand to Liverpool to pursue their titles hopes, but a defeat didn’t make Klopp content who said via Express:

“We have to keep being a pain for everybody. It is difficult to ignore the Arsenal game from last night. We were aware of it as well. I watched five minutes and thought that was enough.’’

Jurgen Klopp greets Mauricio Pochettino before the game.

Naturally, opposing teams would look to you to wreck their championship dreams. We have a reputation for denting other teams’ hopes of winning championships, and we have done it numerous times. First, it was Liverpool when we beat them 2-0 in the 2015 season to put an end to their title hopes, and then it was Tottenham Hotspur when they were vying with Leicester City for the league title in 2016.

However, things change, and we are not the same Chelsea anymore as we are in a different phase. Hopefully, next season will be a different story for us, and we will be a title-contesting side if we make smart signings and provide Mauricio Pochettino with his preferred players.
