Chelsea target Victor Osimhen has blasted his teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent after linking him to a move to the Saudi Pro League.
The Napoli striker has an uncertain future at the club despite signing a new deal with a fresh release clause, and the club will have to activate €130 million (£112 million) to sign the centre-forward.
The Blues have been credited with heavy interest as they look to land a prolific striker and are ready to make a move for the 24-year-old in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Nigerian striker has continued his productive run for Napoli registering seven goals in 13 Serie A matches. Last season he led them to the Scudetto, scoring 31 goals in 39 matches.
But in an unusual incident, Osimhen blasted Kvaratskhelia’s agent, called him words for falsely linking him to Saudi clubs, and said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano:
“Dear Mamuka Jugeli, you are a piece of filth and a disgrace. I’m embarrassed by your sense of reasoning. Dumb f*ck! KEEP MY NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!”.
It’s evident that a player like Osimhen will garner plenty of engagement, therefore this is not a good procedure to milk engagement from such a top striker. Moreover, you are exploiting such a high-profile name for your purpose. The player will eventually lose his cool and criticise the person who is doing such malicious activity.
He knows that he has been linked with a few clubs next summer, and Chelsea are among them who want to desperately sign a prolific striker, and Osimhen is one of their priority targets. However, he has signed a new deal, and now the Blues will have to activate his release clause if they want to recruit him in the summer.
So, let’s see what Chelsea does. Considering their ongoing clumsiness in front of goal, they will undoubtedly want an experienced striker for the upcoming campaign.
