Chelsa target Michael Olise preferring a move to Manchester United next summer

Chelsea target, Michael Olise, has decided on who he will join in the following transfer window, and it’s Manchester United. As per Football. London, (h/t Express), The Blues academy graduate is preferring to join the Reds over the West Londoners next summer.

Chelsea were keen on signing Olise during the previous summer transfer window and were prepared to activate his £35 million release clause in his contract, but the forward opted to remain in south-east London and signed a further four-year deal at Selhurst Park.

Now United are willing to land the midfielder under the Sir Jim Ratcliffe era, and the player’s new release clause will come into effect by the end of the campaign.

Since his breakthrough at Blues Academy, the Hammersmith-born winger also had stints at Arsenal and Manchester City before Reading. Olise’s performance caught the attention of Palace, and the 22-year-old joined them in 2021 and developed into one of their most promising wingers.

Seeing his rise from the academy, the Blues decided to bring the player back to his childhood club last summer. But he intended to remain at Palace, and the West Londoners subsequently signed Cole Palmer instead.

However, the London club remains interested, but given that Olise has probably made up his mind on which club he wants to join, this could see Chelsea either looking for someone else or competing with United for his signing.

But because Olise has been absent for most of the season with a recurring hamstring issue. We should avoid signing players with injury history. The hamstring ailment has kept the forward out of action for 135 days, and the Blues cannot afford to add another player who is prone to injuries when they already have so many on the roster.

A player must be available for every game, and our scouting team ought to consider this. Always look up a player’s injury history before signing him. But let’s wait and see if the board decides to sign him.
