Gary Lineker advises Victor Osimhen to snub Chelsea and join Arsenal

Gary Lineker has advised Victor Osimhen to join Arsenal instead of Chelsea after Napoli’s president confirmed the star striker will leave the Serie A side next summer. Chelsea have been deemed favourites to land the former LOSC Lille forward.

The centre-forward has been linked with many clubs across Europe, and by the end of the season, keeping hold of your prominent forward is difficult when so many top sides want to acquire his services.

The Nigerian forward has been linked to leaving the team after agreeing to a new contract. Chelsea and Arsenal have been strongly linked to sign the striker and will be prepared to swoop in when the chance arises.

However, we can see an increase in competition by the culmination of the season, but the former England football star Lineker feels Arsenal will be a better option for him than Chelsea, (h/t Metro), as further explained on The Rest Is Football podcast:

‘’I mean, to be honest, they earn so much now that you can just choose where you want to go. I would say Arsenal are probably a centre-forward away from winning things.”

”Chelsea are a centre-forward away from becoming competitive again. Manchester United are a centre-forward away from improving, but they’ve still got a long way to go. If I were him, you want to go somewhere where you think you’re going to win things.’’

Gary Lineker advise Osimhen to join Arsenal.

We could be in an identical situation as Arsenal this season if we had a solid striker, therefore we aren’t entirely on board with what Lineker has said. People will argue that we are only a centre forward away from contending for trophies when they witness how countless opportunities we have and how we blow them.

We will be competitive for the title if we sign an accomplished centre-forward, as statistics indicate that we have spurned the most opportunities in the Premier League. However, the most important factor is which club will trigger his release clause.
