” I think he could do a good job”- Frank Leboeuf urges Chelsea to sign Nantes forward to solve goal-scoring problems

Frank Leboeuf has told Chelsea to sign Mostafa Mohamed from Nantes

Former Chelsea star Frank Leboeuf has advised the club to sign Nantes striker Mostafa Mohamed to rectify their goalscoring woes this season. Chelsea might look for another striker in the winter transfer window, and their long pursuit of Victor Osimhen remains concrete.

They have also expressed interest in signing Brentford striker Ivan Toney, who is open to leaving the Bees in January. Now Lebeouf has asked the Blues to sign Mohamed, who is currently playing for the Serie A side and has scored five goals in 12 matches this season.

It might be the first time we hear his name, as he has never had such a performance that has grabbed the attention of any European club, and we cannot say if the Blues would want to sign him.

Frank Leboeuf urges Chelsea to sign Mostafa Mohamed from Nantes.

However, Lebeouf feels Mohamed could be another striker Chelsea should consider signing next summer, (h/t Football. London) speaking to LuckyBlock.com, Lebeouf said:

“Chelsea need a striker and an experienced midfielder. I said last season that Mitrovic would be good—he’s not world-class, but he’s a leader and a fighter. Victor Osimhen is having problems at Napoli, and maybe Chelsea can go for him in January. There’s also Nantes’ Mostafa Mohamed; I think he could do a good job.”

To be straightforward, Mostafa doesn’t look like a genuine striker because his performance for previous teams hasn’t been particularly convincing thus far. He has played for Nantes, where he has scored 16 goals in 63 games, and Galatasaray, where he has only scored 17 goals in 58 games. Neither of these stats is captivating, as the Blues requires a striker who could score at least 20 goals in a season.

Chelsea will have the final say, though it’s highly doubtful that they will pursue him. Osimhen is a striker of sorts who meets our needs; thus, we should try our best to sign him in the summer.
