Dean Jones feels Victor Osimhen will be keen on joining Chelsea

Transfer journalist Dean Jones believes Victor Osimhen will be keen on joining Chelsea, who has been their transfer target since last summer.

Jones further said Chelsea will also have to decide if they want another striker because the arrival of Christoper Nkunku into action could change the Blues’ decision on needing another forward.

In an attempt to add another striker, the Blues have made Osimhen a priority signing for the upcoming transfer window. However, although many reports are circulating Osimhen and Chelsea, nothing is set in stone just yet.

Given the numerous reports we’ve read about Chelsea pursuing Osimhen, believing any news is very difficult. Therefore, it remains to be seen what will transpire in the upcoming summer transfer window.

However, Jones feels if Chelsea do go for the Nigerian striker, he will be open to joining them and he further shared his thoughts on Chelsea’s hunt for Osimhen on GiveMeSport:

“I think he would be keen on going to Chelsea. I do think that there is something in the stories that he might choose Chelsea. I do believe that.”

“Will Chelsea go and sign him is the big question. A month ago, there were strong signs that Chelsea would go aggressive again in the market and try to sign a striker. But I think a lot will have to do with how Christopher Nkunku comes into this team now.”

Jones’ remarks make sense because we have two proficient strikers, and, as a result of our goal-scoring and competitive play, it doesn’t appear like we are in dire need of a striker. Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja are eager to establish their worth. Additionally, Nkunku could play this week against Manchester United, and his addition will see more goals.

This may raise many concerns about whether they need an all-star striker for the upcoming campaign. Let’s see how things work out because this will be a significant decision, and there will be a lot of stories about Chelsea’s quest for Osimhen until next summer.
