Famous UK rapper AJ Tracey was quick to pour his support for Chelsea captain Reece James on his Instagram post after the right-back underwent a hamstring injury.
James took to Instagram and posted his photo with a long caption regarding his struggles with a hamstring injury, and he finally decided to opt for surgery after a long decision.
Plenty of Chelsea players and other football players commented on his post and wished him a speedy recovery. While AJ Tracey also hoped for a quick recovery and commented, “Love my brother, you got this. due to being back stronger than ever” with a heart and bicep emoji.
It was expected the right-back would miss two or three months due to injury, but following his surgery, he is now forecast to miss more than three months.
The 24-year-old will now start his rehabilitation programme at Cobham, as Malo Gusto will have a big responsibility on his shoulders as he will be the only right-back option Mauricio Pochettino will have.
All the first-choice fullbacks are injured, and our only options are Gusto and Ian Maatsen. The Dutchman will also have a chance to establish himself in Marc Cucurella and Ben Chilwell’s absence.
Apart from fullback, we also have less depth in midfield as half of our midfielders are injured, and now Enzo Fernandez is another name on the list. The good thing is that Romeo Lavia has returned to training, and his Chelsea debut is also near.
We have really been unlucky with injuries, and this has been the main issue that has impacted our season. For James, he will return to Cobham and start his recovery phase.
The right-back will be overwhelmed with the amount of support he received on his Instagram post after his post-surgery photo on the app. It’s good to see the players receive such heartwarming messages because the amount of injuries he has suffered is really overwhelming for a player at his young age.
