Arsenal lead Chelsea in pursuit of ‘next Jadon Sancho’ playing in Bundesliga

Top Premier League sides including Arsenal and Chelsea are keen on signing Jamie Bynoe-Gittens

Arsenal are leading Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Chelsea in the pursuit of talented Borussia Dortmund forward Jamie Bynoe-Gittens. The youngster has been compared to English international winger, Jadon Sancho.

According to the German publication Bild, (h/t Express) Arsenal holds an edge over all the clubs in the fray to land the sensational 19-year-old winger from Dortmund. The winger recently signed a new contract with a German club, but with increasing interest from Premier League sides, he will soon have to make a decision on his future.

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta is a great admirer of Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and is keen to bring him to North London to add more depth to the forward line. However, given that he recently signed a new deal, Dortmund could be hesitant to sell the talented winger, but if an attractive offer is made, then the German club could consider their decision.

Dortmund, who have nurtured many talented players, now has another top prodigy on their roster. English clubs are already keeping an eye on his situation. Whether the youngster will follow in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland in moving to the Premier League remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will be better without another winger, knowing they have plenty at their disposal, such as Mykhaylo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling, and Christopher Nkunku. Given their recent goal-scoring struggles, the Blues don’t now appear to be in need of a winger but rather an experienced striker.

If we talk about talented players we already have Mudryk and Noni Madueke who are yet to reach their potential, and signing another youngster could hamper their development. It will be better if we give Bynoe-Gittens time to develop at Dortmund and then see how he evolves.

Even if we miss out on his signing, it wouldn’t be a big loss for us. We have already acquired several talented wingers who have high scope at the club, and with time they will realise their potential at Stamford Bridge.

Due to Jadon Sancho’s absence, United may require a winger, and Arsenal may need a backup for Bukayo Saka. Newcastle United could use a winger as well because they need more depth in the attacking third. Surely, Chelsea will not have an easy path even if they are to make a punt for the Dortmund star.
