Chelsea plot January transfer raid for Napoli star Victor Osimhen whose future remains uncertain

According to the Guardian, the future of Victor Osimhen remains in limbo following the controversial TikTok video, which has affected the Nigerian’s relationship with Napoli as Chelsea look to secure his services in January.

However, the striker subsequently released a statement in regards to Napoli’s controversial clips on TikTok. The upcoming winter window could once again be crucial for Chelsea, as they hope to sign an experienced striker who can find the back of the net regularly.

Osimhen’s availability in January is debatable, and in the event that he is not, the Blues should have Ivan Toney as a backup option. Although they will face competition from other teams for the 27-year-old.

Victor Osimhen has released a statement after Napoli’s controversial TikTok video on him.

With their inability to score goals in past matches, the Blues’ search for a clinical No. 9 has intensified. Osimhen and Toney remain a priority target for the club in the upcoming winter transfer window.

The West Londoners recorded a 2-0 win over Fulham last night, claiming their second win in seven Premier League games and giving fans and manager a sense of relief after a string of poor performances.

Mykhaylo Mudryk and Armando Broja were on the scoresheet as Chelsea started their October month with a win, and hopefully, there will be many more to come.

Victor Osimhen doesn’t appear to be leaving in January based on his recent posts, but a summer transfer is a possibility. Should he be on the market, the Blues should be doing all they can to secure the Nigerian’s signature.

Osimhen, though, would be a better choice than Ivan Toney while also having a high ceiling. But will Chelsea wait another year? Before deciding to recruit a proficient No. 9, we need to first assess how Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja will perform this season.
