Fabrizio Romano reveals that AC Milan and West Ham asked Chelsea for Armando Broja

Fabrizio Romano has reported that AC Milan and West Ham approached Chelsea for Armando Broja, but the Blues were not in the mood to entertain any offer.

For so long now, the Albanian has been touted as a big talent at Stamford Bridge and the club have placed immense faith in him. Armando Broja returned to action in the 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa and will be hoping to stay fit.

After spending plenty of months on the sidelines due to a knee injury, the 22-year-old was introduced in the 79th minute. Now the centre-forward could start in Chelsea’s next Premier League game as Nicolas Jackson is set to miss the match due to suspension.

Broja will hope to end Chelsea’s inefficiency in front of goal, which Jackson couldn’t solve. Him returning from injury also gives Pochettino more options in the attacking line.

Credits to Chelsea for keeping him, despite receiving approaches from the club, as revealed by Fabrizio Romano in his Daily Briefing:

“We saw Armando Broja return to the squad after injury, and he could have an important role to play this season. There were verbal approaches from AC Milan, West Ham, and one more club this summer for Broja. But Chelsea decided not to entertain those proposals as they wanted to trust Armando, with the board and Pochettino on the same page.”

It’s fortunate that Chelsea have kept him because his importance would be beneficial during matches. Given that Jackon hasn’t performed up to expectations, Broja’s presence at Chelsea gives Pochettino some solid options in the No. 9 position, and we can expect the Albanian striker to have an impact.

Of course, it will take him some time to fully get going, but once he does, we will have a top striker on our team.

Broja will need to ready himself and prove to us that he is capable of leading the team’s attacking line now that Jackson won’t be available for the next Premier League game.
