Juventus could make a move for Chelsea star Romelu Lukaku to replace Dusan Vlahovic

As per the Telegraph, (h/t Football.London), Juventus have earmarked Chelsea star Romelu Lukaku as an ideal replacement for Dusan Vlahovic but will have to rival Inter Milan for the striker.

The Serbian striker has been linked with a move away and Juventus are now hoping to find his replacement should the situation arise. Vlahovic arrived at he Allianz Stadium with high expectations but has admittedly failed to hit the expected heights.

Meanwhile, Lukaku is keen to remain in Italy, but Inter’s financial problems are preventing them from landing the Belgian ace on a permanent deal. It remains to be seen if the Nerazzurri will now make their move to ward off Juventus.

The Old Lady are expected to examine incoming bids for their 23-year-old, who endured a dry spell in his first season at the Allianz Stadium. Thus they are open to discussions for the Chelsea striker in the coming weeks.

The Blues want to sell the Belgian striker for good and have already turned down another loan spell from Inter for the upcoming campaign. Curiously, Chelsea had also shown interest in signing the Serbian striker earlier in the month, but it has since cooled down.

It is no secret that Chelsea need an infallible goalscorer. Vlahovic certainly fits the bill and it remains to be seen if they can entice Juventus into an exchange that could benefit all parties. However, a lot will depend on whether Vlahovic and Lukaku see the issue in the same light.

After AC Milan expressed interest in the 30-year-old, Juventus is now the third Serie A club to have expressed interest in him. Whether Lukaku is ready to threaten his standing within the Inter fanbase by moving to a rival club.

When on form, Lukaku remains one of the top strikers, but he hasn’t proven himself at Chelsea, where the club already has players like David Datro-Fofana, Armando Borja, and Jackson for the upcoming campaign. Lukaku might not have a future at Stamford Bridge but still has much to offer elsewhere.
