Christian Pulisic feels Chelsea can still finish in the top four

Christian Pulisic feels Chelsea still have a chance to finish in the top four before the end of the season and perhaps win the Champions League.

Last Saturday, the Blues, who were on the verge of a fourth straight win, were held to a 2-2 draw by Everton at Stamford Bridge. The USNMT international made his first start for Chelsea following his recovery from a knee injury.

The club’s terrible run of four victories in 21 games has put Potter under a lot of pressure, but Pulisic thinks a top-four finish is still achievable.

And the Blues have been handed Real Madrid as their quarterfinal opponent for the third time in the Champions League. While the 24-year-old is experiencing a disappointing season with only a goal and an assist to his name in 24 games for the Blues.

However, the former Borussia Dortmund player is optimistic that the Blues will finish in the top four (h/t Evening Standard), as he further stated:

“Absolutely, we are a confident team. We know we have good enough players to do some damage in that competition, and we need to focus on the Prem and still fight to get in that top four.”

“If you string a couple of wins together, anything is possible.” We are going to keep fighting.”

The prospect of us finishing in the top four is quite remote, but it is encouraging to see so much confidence in Pulisic. If we win all of our remaining games and the clubs above us tie or lose their remaining games, we will undoubtedly have an opportunity.

If we don’t finish in the top four, it won’t be a problem for the club’s progress; it would be acceptable. Players have displayed incredible spirit over the course of the last four games, and are now starting to understand each other on the pitch, they have made significant team progress, and the result will also come but fans will have to be patient.

And hopefully, Pulisic can rediscover his performance after the international break since Chelsea will count on him until the conclusion of the season.
