Speaking to GiveMeSport, popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has discussed the prospect of Chelsea signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic and has claimed that it will not be easy.
The Serbian striker is on the radar of Chelsea for quite some time now. However, convincing Juventus to sell him in January will not be easy at all and this could be a long road for the Blues.
Romano did reveal that the Blues are currently not negotiating for the talented striker and any moves for the Juventus man will only be done towards the latter part of the January transfer window.
Vlahovic joined the Italian giants from Fiorentina in the January of 2022 and has had an excellent first year with the Old Lady. He has scored a lot of goals and remains wanted by other top clubs in Europe.
The 22-year-old is already very clinical in front of goal and will only keep getting better with time. In an attacking team, he can act as the perfect reference point and score a ton of goals season after season.
Speaking about Chelsea’s prospects, here is what Romano had to say about the chances of the Blues signing the Serbian striker.
“Vlahovic, I think it’s not going to be easy at all because he’s injured at the moment, and I’m not sure Juventus will let him go but also it depends on the conditions. At the moment, Chelsea are not negotiating with Juventus for Vlahovic, so we will see later in the window with that.”
The fact that Vlahovic is not fit right now could really be an issue for Chelsea. It remains to be seen if the Serbian gets fit by the end of the month and if the Blues can make a move for him by the end of the month.
Juventus will definitely not make it easy for the Blues to sign Vlahovic. They will want huge money for the talented forward and let’s see if Chelsea agree to pay that after all.
