Chelsea considering Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as an attacking reinforcement

According to @JacobsBen of CBS (h/t Football. London), Chelsea are exploring the opportunity of signing talented Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic with the player tipped for a move in the summer.

In fact, it is being claimed that even a January exit is a real possibility for the Serbian striker. The Blues are said to be keeping a keen eye on the situation as signing a player like Vlahovic might solve all their striker issues.

The striker issues that the Blues have faced over the past few seasons have been well-documented. They had the very impressive Tammy Abraham in their ranks but sold him to Roma to sign Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian had a nightmare of a season at Stamford Bridge upon his return and was loaned back to Inter Milan just one season after being bought. Amidst this, there was the curious case of Timo Werner.

This season, the Blues having seen both Werner and Lukaku depart signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona and trusted the returning loanee Armando Broja to step up. The duo have not performed badly but they have not been great either.

An injury to the latter which will see him miss the rest of the season though has thrown a spanner in the works. The Blues have a momentous task of turning a faltering season around and they need someone to score goals.

Aubameyang is still around but at his age, there is only so much you can expect the Gabonese veteran to do. One player who would be perfect for the Blues not just for now but for more than a decade to come is Vlahovic.

The 22-year-old Serbian joined Juventus not so long ago but an exit seems like a real possibility. Although he will not be cheap, the Blues cannot go wrong with this signing and it would be wise to go all out for him.

Vlahovic at Chelsea seems like the perfect signing, at least on paper. If it becomes a reality, it would be great for the Blues and let’s see how this particular story goes.
