Dinamo Moscow manager Sandro Schwarz suggests Arsen Zakharyan to stay put amidst Chelsea interest

Speaking to Sport BILD (h/t Football.London), Dinamo Moscow coach Sandro Schwarz has advised his player Arsen Zakharyan to stay at the club amidst interest from Chelsea. The midfielder has been in great form this season and has attracted interest from the Premier League as a result.

Having played 14 matches this season, he has scored two goals while providing seven assists in the process. Manchester City have also turned their attention to the youngster thanks to his sensational displays.

However, his current manager Schwarz was adamant that Zakharyan should take his time to develop in a setting that he is comfortable with. He also mentioned that the club would also benefit from that decision.

Arsen Zakharyan issued a yellow card by the referee.

“It would be stupid of me as their coach to talk them down. I think they can have a great career. The crucial thing is that they find the right time to take the next step in their development.”

The Dinamo Moscow boss admitted that it would not be any help to lie about the interest from the Premier League. He believes that the 18-year-old would be successful should he move one day but for now it is essential that he waits till the right moment.

“First of all, I want them to play for Dinamo for a while. We don’t want to just develop players and fall by the wayside ourselves.”

Arsen Zakharyan and Filip Mrzljak challenges for the ball.

The Russian club’s director Sergey Stephasin shares a similar sentiment to his coach regarding the talented Russian midfielder. With him still being at the early stages of his development, it is understandable that the coach and the director share the same thoughts.

The likes of Ross Barkley and Saul Niguez are struggling for minutes, whereas Conor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour are likely to make a return. Hence, it would be advisable for the Russian starlet to focus on his progression rather than make a big move elsewhere. At least for now.
