Glen Johnson urges Jude Bellingham to opt against joining Chelsea

According to The Sun (h/t Football.london), former Chelsea star Glen Johnson has urged Borussia Dortmund sensation, Jude Bellingham, against moving to Chelsea.

The 18-year-old is one of the best young players in the Bundesliga nay the continent. He continues to make a name for himself with Dortmund and looks to have a bright future ahead of him.

Bellingham has made a solid impression on Johnson who has praised the player’s maturity and ability. Not everyone can become a regular for a top European side as a teenager.

Jude Bellingham has enjoyed a fine debut season in Germany.

Johnson has gone on to reveal that Bellingham should opt to join another of his former sides, Liverpool. The Reds do need an injection of youth in the middle of the park and there are few better than Bellingham to provide it.

“I’d probably say Liverpool.”

He believes the youngster will do on to develop well at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp’s tutelage. The German is amongst the best managers in world football and has often shown the ability to see his players overperform.

“If Jude was to make the move to Liverpool then I believe they can nurture him better than his other suitors and will give him more time as that’s what he will need.”

Dortmund do not appear to be averse to selling the Englishman. However, he will not come cheap and will set the Blues back £85m. According to the report, the Blues will seek cheaper alternatives elsewhere.

Whether Saul Niguez can stake a claim for his stay to be made permanent remains to be seen. The Spaniard is currently on loan but has failed to get the pulse racing.

Johnson might have enjoyed a good spell at Chelsea but played the best years of his career at Liverpool. It is easy to see why he could prefer the Reds over us. Hopefully, Marina Granovskia can do another Timo Werner and steal Bellingham from under the Merseysiders’ noses.
