According to Football.london, Christian Pulisic feels that Chelsea can overcome any side given the form they are in. The Blues have now won 10 of their 14 games under Thomas Tuchel with their latest win over Sheffield United in the FA Cup.
It has been an eventful week for Tuchel’s men as they secured a quarter-final berth in the Champions League and a semi-final berth in the FA Cup. They will face Porto and Manchester City in those respective fixtures next month.
While he did not manage to get on the scoresheet himself, Pulisic’s overall performance against Sheffield United meant that he was adjudged man of the match. However, he was not very pleased with himself given the chances he squandered.
He did acknowledge the fact that Sheffield United provided a good challenge and gave Chelsea some nervy moments. However, Chelsea did get the win from an Ollie Norwood own goal and Hakim Ziyech golazo. The win capped off another clean sheet which was their 12th in 14 games.
However, Pulisic added that Chelsea have become unbeatable in their current form.
“We definitely have a confident bunch of guys. Obviously, when we’re on a run like this, we feel really good and we feel like we can beat anyone. It’s a good feeling.”
There’s definitely substance to what Pulisic has said. Chelsea look like a real solid unit these days. They have shown that they can grind out results even if they aren’t at their best. While the attack is still a work in progress, they have done much better in recent times.
