According to transfer news from The Sun, Chelsea have promised to sign Erling Haaland if they secure Champions League berth for next season. The club are willing to shell out the £130million required to sign the Borussia Dortmund star.
It has not even been two seasons but the Norwegian hitman has taken Europe by storm with his goal-scoring exploits. In 48 outings for Dortmund, he has scored 47 goals. It was Manchester United who tried to sign the player from Salzburg before he joined Dortmund.
However, they are still keen on a deal for him. Despite Manchester United keeping tabs on the youngster, Chelsea could come into the fray as Roman Abramovich has personally taken it upon himself to get a deal done.
Now it has been said that Chelsea higher-ups have promised to deliver Haaland if Thomas Tuchel can secure Champions League football for next season. With Timo Werner not impressing so far, the club have turned their attention to Haaland.
Chelsea are well poised to deliver Champions League football next season. We are fourth in the league with 9 games to go and face Porto in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. It will be interesting to see where Haaland heads next season.
