Demba Ba backs Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson to continue his terrific form

Former Chelsea striker Demba Ba has thrown his support behind Nicolas Jackson, urging the forward to maintain his impressive form after scoring his 13th Premier League goal of the season. Jackson, who has faced criticism in the past for his finishing, showcased his goal-scoring prowess with a brace in Chelsea’s dominant victory over West Ham United.

Despite facing scrutiny for his lack of clinical finishing on occasions, Jackson’s performance against West Ham served as a reminder of his ability to find the back of the net when it matters most. His brace played a crucial role in Chelsea’s comprehensive 5-0 win at Stamford Bridge, with goals from Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke, and Conor Gallagher adding to the Blues’ goal tally.

Ba, who enjoyed a successful spell at Chelsea during his playing career, believes that Jackson has the potential to silence his critics and continue delivering strong performances for the team. With his 13 Premier League goals this season, the youngster has emerged as a key attacking threat for Chelsea, and Ba’s endorsement reflects the confidence in the striker’s abilities moving forward.

After taking his Premier League tally to 13 goals, the Senegalese striker set a new record where he has more non-penalty goals (13) than Mohamed Salah, Kai Havertz, and Cole Palmer in the Premier League this season. And quoting from that tweet from his X account, Ba said:

‘’Football is crazy. Nicolas Jackson was a doubt in people’s minds after missing a couple chances in a game a few weeks ago. All of a sudden, he became a great footballer and goal scorer. Keep doing your thing and shining, my little brother.’’

Ba, who has closely observed Jackson’s displays, believes that the forward possesses the necessary attributes to excel at the highest level of English football.

The 22-year-old’s lack of confidence and composure on the ball have been evident throughout the season, but his ability to carry the ball and create goal-scoring opportunities mark him as a standout performer for Chelsea. Ba recognizes Jackson’s talent and sees him as a player capable of making a significant impact in the Premier League.

Chelsea star Nicolas Jackson has now scored 13 Premier League goals.

Throughout the ups and downs of the season, Jackson has demonstrated unwavering resilience and a steadfast commitment to self-improvement. Despite facing criticism for his finishing, his determination to elevate his game and fulfill his potential as a striker has been unwavering.
