“I am very happy and proud to be here. It is a dream come true to play in a big club like Chelsea.”
It was confirmed by Bayer Leverkusen that the player has left the German international camp to clarify issues regarding the transfer on Friday morning. And now, he is officially a Chelsea player.
Havertz will be the cherry on top of what has been an incredible summer spending spree by the Blues.
Apart from Havertz, Chelsea have brought in the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, and Thiago Silva. Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is also on the club’s radar.
The Blues have easily had the best transfer window among all of Europe’s big teams. With a reinforced squad at his disposal, Lampard will have to deliver in the upcoming season.
It has been an exciting summer off the pitch. Soon it will be time to replicate the success on it as well.
