“Better player than Rudiger” – Some fans give their verdict on French ace after defensive struggle

Twitter reacts in favour of keeping Kurt Zouma at Chelsea

Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

The Frenchman has been backed to reunite with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese was the one who signed him for Chelsea.

The Blues defender is considered expendable by the club as we look to revamp the squad going into next season. If yesterday’s loss to Sheffield United is taken into account, focussing on him clearly takes the heat off worse offenders.

The likes of Antonio Rudiger were shambles as the Blades put three past a hapless Chelsea defence. The German’s botched clearance for the third goal belongs more in a bloopers reel than on the pitch.

Zouma too had his moments where the better judgment was the need of the hour. He twice lost his player for the first two goals. He did show enough promise though to indicate that he would do better in a more enterprising backline.

Twitter was flooded with messages from fans, who wanted to rather keep the Frenchman than sell him to our rivals. We take a look at a few of them below.
