Chelsea offer a contract to Kai Havertz

According to transfer expert Nicolo Schira (h/t Express), Chelsea have offered a five-year contract to Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz.

The 20-year-old is one of the best young talents in world football. Having already signed Hakim Ziyech and with Timo Werner in the bag, it promises to be a window to remember.

According to Schira, Leverkusen have a value of €80m for their prized asset. Chelsea, for their part, have offered Havertz a five-year deal worth €8m a year in wages.

The youngster has enjoyed an excellent return to the Bundesliga last month. He has scored five times in four games as football has returned for the first time since March.

The German is a versatile player capable of playing a variety of attacking positions. He can also play as a centre-forward, a position he has thrived in of late.

The club’s no-nonsense approach to the transfer window has caught a number of our opponents off guard.

Chelsea have tabled a five year contract to Kai Havertz

Not only are we stealing a match on the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur but also denying the teams above us. By snatching Werner from the clutches of Liverpool, we have also prevented them from strengthening further.

If Havertz also joins the mix, Frank Lampard with have a youthful and talented squad at his disposal capable of challenging for the top spot.

Chelsea also face competition from Bayern Munich for the player’s signature. Hopefully, we will pull through and make yet another splash in the market.
