Tiemoue Bakayoko agrees on terms with former club Monaco

RMC Sport (h/t Express) claims that Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has agreed to terms with his former club Monaco.

The Frenchman struggled since his big-money move from France and was loaned out to AC Milan in the previous season.

His time in Italy wasn’t great either due to his inconsistency and the report claims that Milan decided not to sign him on a permanent deal.

Bakayoko’s chances of featuring in the first-team aren’t high given the options we have in the midfield. Ross Barkley, N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic will fight for the two spots in the midfield.

Chelsea yet to agree on the deal

The report adds that Chelsea are yet to approve the deal which would see Bakayoko return on loan and make the move permanent next summer for a fee of £32million.

Bakayoko hasn’t featured in any of our games this season and sending him away would be the right move for all parties involved.

Hopefully, he can finalise a permanent move to Monaco and find his form for the Ligue 1 giants. The Frenchman was one of the best players in the league as he helped Monaco win an unlikely Ligue 1 title by beating PSG.

Unfortunately, things never worked out for him at the Bridge and he will go down as one of the most expensive flops in Chelsea’s history.
