Bayern Munich are still in pursuit of Chelsea prospect Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to the Sun. The 18-year-old winger is cited as a replacement for Arjen Robben, who recently left the Bavarians.
It looked as if Bayern had cooled their interest and turned their eyes towards Leroy Sane after witnessing Hudson-Odoi’s Achilles injury.
Now, the Bundesliga title winners have revived their interest as the Blues teenager is eyeing for a fast recovery.
Hudson-Odoi suffered the injury against Burnley, which ruled him out for the rest of the season. He rose to prominence this season after impressing in the pre-season games under manager Maurizio Sarri.
The teenager has racked up 6 goals and 7 assists this season across all competitions. Furthermore, his breakthrough season at Stamford Bridge led to his debut for the England national team – the second youngest ever debutant after Wayne Rooney.
The Blues are now undergoing a transfer ban which lasts up to next two transfer windows. The Londoners concluded their Premier League season, finishing third in the table in Sarri’s first season in England.
The Italian manager was opened to more disapproval for his lack of mutual relationship with the fans and the players.
Having booked their places for next season’s Champions League, the Blues will face Arsenal in the Europa League final at Baku.
