Chelsea have “won” the race to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic, according to the Daily Mail.

The 20-year-old American played in USA’s loss to England a couple of days ago and is out of contract at the Bundesliga club in 2020.

The report adds that the Bundesliga leaders have accepted that they will have to cash in on their star despite trying to negotiate a contract with the attacker.

Chelsea are interested in signing the player in January as the report adds that there could be a transfer ban looming from FIFA regarding the recruitment of under-age players.

Pulisic has been one of Dortmund’s best players in recent years and has helped them to an unbeaten start in the Bundesliga.

The youngster has started seven games in all competitions for the Germans and has two goals and two assists to his name this season.

The report adds that the American was valued in the region of £70m, however, that is set to reduce as the club could lose him on a free in 2020.

Liverpool and Tottenham are two Premier League clubs interested in the 20-year-old (h/t Daily Mail), and the player recently claimed he could play in England in the future.

Pulisic would be a fantastic signing for the Blues, and with the club playing great attacking football, we could see the American revel under Maurizio Sarri.
