Michy Batshuayi wants to play for Chelsea and isn’t looking to make his loan move to Valencia a permanent one.

The Belgian played the second half of last season at Borussia Dortmund where he scored nine times from 14 games. The Daily Star claims there were talks of him signing for the Bundesliga giants permanently.

The striker was speaking to the Times (h/t Daily Star) as he said:

“No [I’m not looking for a permanent move].

“I’ve so much respect for Chelsea and I love them.

“This loan is important for my development, to show how good I am so that I can go back to Chelsea a better player.”

The forward added that the La Liga is a league known for its technicality and he is a decent fit there. The Belgian was quick to add that he would do well anywhere.

Batshuayi further claimed that he has spoken with neither the manager nor the club and that was something for his agent to deal with.

The Belgian certainly did well in the Bundesliga last season and could do a decent job for us too. Our current strikers Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata have only one goal between them this season.

It was a bit of a surprise seeing the Belgian leave on loan and hopefully, he will perform well at the Mestalla and return a better player for us next season.
