Reigning Premier League champions Chelsea have requested the fans to get in touch with the club with information, after claims that some were allegedly hurt by the police and security outside the Camp Nou before the Blues’ Champions League defeat to Barcelona. (Sky Sports)

Antonio Conte’s side were dumped out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage as Barcelona forward Lionel Messi starred on the night. Following a 1-1 draw in the first leg, the visitors fell behind after just two minutes as Messi shot through the legs of Thibaut Courtois from a tight angle.

The Argentine then set up Ousmane Dembele who hammered home the second after Cesc Fabregas lost possession. Messi then scored his 100th Champions League goal to hand the Catalan giants a massive 4-1 aggregate win.

Sky Sports report that the fans were treated aggressively before the game and some supporters missed the start of the game. Chelsea are now keen to hear from any fans affected and posted the same on their official Twitter account.

“The club has been made aware of some issues experienced by our supporters accessing the stadium tonight.”

A club spokesman said: “We are aware of reports of incidents outside the ground before the game where a number of Chelsea fans were hurt…”

“We ask that our supporters contact us with accounts of their experiences of this evening’s arrival at the stadium so that we can take this up properly with the authorities.”

I just hope the supporters affected outside the Camp Nou immediately come forward with details and information so that our club can take proper action.

Meanwhile, the Blues have to move on from the defeat at Barcelona and concentrate on the upcoming FA Cup quarterfinals clash against Leicester City on Sunday.
