Chelsea are set to battle it out against Arsenal for Mauro Icardi’s signature this summer as they turn to the Inter Milan forward after their pursuit for Romelu Lukaku stalls.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants to bring in another striker to the squad, however, signing Lukaku seems to be getting tougher by the day as Everton are determined on their price tag of £75m for the player.

The Blues have already brought in Michy Batshuayi in the squad and although Lukaku still is the No 1 target for the Italian manager, Chelsea have now turned to Icardi. Chelsea’s interest in signing Icardi can come as a problem for Arsenal as the Gunners are already in the race to sign the player.

While Chelsea are keeping close tabs on the Argentine the Blues are still hopeful of signing Lukaku into the Stamford Bridge this summer.

Icardi has 16 goals to his credit in 23 appearances for Inter Milan.
