It has been awhile since Chelsea are linked with Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly. The Blues are keen on signing the player into the squad this summer however Everton’s interest on the player may Gazump the Blues’ plans to sign the player.

According to reports from Sports Italia, Everton have offered a deal worth £46m for Koulibaly which has reportedly beaten Chelsea’s offer of £37m for the player.

On the other hand the Koulibaly’s current club, Napoli is reportedly planning to increase the player’s wages however the uncertainty of the player’s future at the club has put the same on hold as well.

Koulibaly turned heads last month at Napoli when he demanded a new contract and threatened to enter into talks with Blues boss Antonio Conte.

“Big clubs want to sign me and there is no sign of a renewal with Napoli.”

If Everton do succeed in signing the player then Napoli will look out for Torino centre back Nikola Maksimovic as a replacement for Koulibaly.

The Senegalese international turned heads last month stating that Napoli are not offering an improved contract may be the reason why he may end up having talks with Chelsea boss Antonio  Conte.
