Chelsea’s bid of £40m for Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes has been rejected by the La Liga club. The player is expected to leave the club after they failed to qualify for European competition next season.
According to the reports from the Daily Mirror, Juventus is leading the race to sign the player although ti was Chelsea who offered the highest bid on the highly rated 22 year old player.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is looking to add energetic players in his squad this summer and Gomes would be the ideal signing for the Blues this summer. Although the young player had a hit and miss season last, the player impressed during the European Championships.
If reports are to be believed then Valencia are rooting for Juventus to make a high bid for the midfielder, as they expect the Old Lady to sell their star midfielder Paul Pogba to United in a world record fee.
