Paul Pogba is probably one of the best midfielders in the world if not the best. The player is blessed with pace, power, skill and technique. He has played key role in Juventus’ back to back Serie A title for several years and at just 23 year of age has the world at his feet.
When asked about who would he want to emulate, the player was quick to respond with the name of Chelsea legend Frank Lampard. Given that the style of play of both the players are similar it is not surprising that Pogba has chosen Lampard as his idol. He is probably the closest replica of Frank Lampard in terms of style of play.
Pogba has a long way to go to reach the level of Lampard but he expressed his interest to surpass Lampard. Lampard has scored 211 goals in 649 games for Chelsea, has won three Premier League titles, the Europa League and the Champions League. Long way indeed.
