According to report from Express Sport, Chelsea are preparing to chase Henrikh Mkhitaryan again. The Borussia Dortmund star had been in Chelsea’s radar earlier during the Mourinho’s reign, but an offer of £46 million was rejected.
Now the club is ready to pursue him again and according to TransferMarketWeb the Blues will make a majestic cash offer for the player. The Armenian midfielder is not going to be easily available, though as Chelsea are expecting stiff competition from Arsenal.
The player is highly rated and it is no small deal that clubs of Chelsea and Arsenal’s stature are chasing his signature. Arsenal suspects that Alexis Sanchez may leave the club and is looking at Mkhitaryan to replace the South American. While the offer of £46 million was rejected last time we can expect a bid of similar amount, but the icing on the cake for Dortmund is that the total amount will be paid in full.
