After a disappointing loss against PSG in the Champions League, Chelsea visit Goodison Park in the quarterfinals of the FA cup. This is the last chance of a trophy that the blues possess to redeem some pride after a disastrous season.
Chelsea need to be on their best if they want a result at Goodison. Everton are having a difficult season too and like Chelsea, the FA cup is the only chance now to make the fans happy. Winning this tie will take the team to Wembley and the fans deserve atleast that much for giving full hearted support to the blues in their difficult time.
Guus Hiddink has suggested in his earlier team selections that he takes the cup very seriously. Everton will play an attacking game and Chelsea will have to be on their toes if they have to win their 8th FA cup.
Chelsea will be without Diego Costa after a recurring minor tendon issue with Kurt Zouma the long time absentee. The good news for the blues is that John Terry is expected to be on the bench for the game against Everton.
The toffees will be without Tony Hibbert and Tom Cleverley missing out with an illness. Brian Oviedo and Aaron Lennon will have a late fitness test today while Kevin Mirallas misses through a suspension.
Everton have won three and lost two out of their last 5 games. All their three wins have come away from home against relatively easy sides.
While Chelsea are in a slightly better form than Everton. The blues have won 3, drew 1 and lost just 1 of their last five games.
