Chelsea Set Aside £39m Separately For Midfield Beast

The Sun has reported that the Blues are ready to part with a £39 million in order to sign the French midfielder Blaise Matuidi of Paris Saint-Germain. The player is a regular for Laurent Blanc’s side and has done extremely well to cement a starting spot in a star studded PSG side.

However, PSG are not very keen on selling the midfielder unless a sizable offer comes along and Chelsea feel that a £39 million offer for the player should change the club’s mind.

Chelsea are currently in the bottom half of the table and if rumors from various media are to be believed there may be a major shake up in the club in the summer. Several players such as Costa, Hazard, Oscar, Cortouis are reported to be wanting to leave in order to play Champions League football.

Matuidi is understood to be a player who will give more competition to Nemanja Matic.
