John Terry has announced that he will be leaving Chelsea this summer. This has put many clubs on alert considering that the Chelsea captain is still quite capable and expected to be able to perform for few more  years.

As per The Sun, Sven Goran Eriksson thinks that Terry could move to the Chinese Super League in the summer.

“There is a lot of talk about John Terry in China. He has been one of the greatest defenders in the world for the last 15 years,”

“He is still doing very well and has a lot to offer. He is one of the most recognisable players in world football.

“Chinese teams are looking for these big players. Great teams need great leaders.

“They do not come much better than John Terry. With his skill, his experience, he would be great in China, I have no doubt about that.”

The player’s contract will expire at the end of the season and thus it will probably be a free transfer. But considering that he will be moving to China we can only assume that the Chinese clubs will be willing to pay him an astronomical wage for his services.

As per the report, the veteran defender could earn £20 million in one season as the CSL clubs have been splashing money in Europe to make Marquee signings. Already several European players have made a move to CSL and John Terry is expected to lead the line in the summer.
