Should Chelsea Look At Centre Back With 91% Tackle Record?

In reports from the Express yesterday, it seems as though Chelsea are attempting to land Saint Etienne centre-half. Here are three reasons why he could be the perfect man for the Blues.

Being 19, the next couple of years are going to be huge for Zouma. There are few players who have the potential to mentor the young centre-back into something special, so a move to Chelsea could be perfect on that basis alone.

Playing alongside the former England skipper would not only benefit his ability but could mean that he is the long-term successor for the west London side.

2) Presence

Not only is Zouma impressive with the ball at his feet but he is a real monster in the air. He has played 11 games for Saint Etienne so far this season and been successful in 10/11 (91%) of his tackles and 80% of his headers, while completing 86% of his passes.

3) potential

As mentioned above, Zouma is still only 19 and looks to have a great future ahead of him. He has the stature of someone who is unbeatable and the mental toughness of someone who has been around far longer than he has, and should Chelsea sign him then they could have a future star.
