The Daily Mail are reporting that the Blues have finally snapped up 18-year-old Bertrand Traore – a powerful attacking midfielder from Burkino Faso, on a long term deal.
The teen had originally signed for the club’s youth system back in 2010 but has been waiting on a work permit to commit fully. Now with a four-and-a-half year deal at Stamford Bridge, what can he offer Jose Mourinho?
As mentioned, Traore is a robust attacking midfielder who has very quick feet. In a similar way to Yaya Toure, he has powerful, long legs and an incredible tank, allowing him to patrol the areas in the middle with great efficiency. He enjoys floating in the central areas and dictating play with raking passes, and he also offers a threat in front of goal.
Watch the clip below to get a better idea of the youngster, but be warned Chelsea fans, it may raise your hopes to beyond expectations. He really is a special player.
