Should Chelsea Give Torres The Boot In January?

With 39 goals in 143 games for Chelsea, a ratio of one goal to every 3.7 games, Fernando Torres has not warranted the massive price tag that was supposedly spent, for most. He has become a bit of a laughing stock after looking limp up top for the majority of his time at Stamford Bridge, but now with the Express reporting that the Spaniard could be on his way to make space for Radamel Falcao, is it finally time Jose Mourinho finally got rid?

He did score 22 goals last term, but only eight of those came in the Premier League. His movement has looked sharper this time round but he still isn’t hitting the back of the net, only one goal in the league so far.

His link up is almost non-existent right now and he has lost the pace that he was once renowned for. His confidence looks shot to pieces and he is still snatching at chances.

Although some people still believe that he will return to his best, for me he’s past it. He’s lost everything that he’s about and it’s about time Mourinho went for more of a presence up top.

Falcao fits the bill for me, and it is about time Torres was shipped out.
