1) Mourinho
The Portuguese gaffer is a winner and he has proved that numerous times throughout his managerial career. His passion transforms into his man management skills and I am yet to hear of a player who hasn’t enjoyed working under Mourinho.
He plays deep football with pace on the break and often a big man up top, and although they’re not blessed with options in the forward area he now seems to be getting the best out of Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto’o.
2) Squad
No one in the Premier League can match what the Blues hold in their midfield, in my opinion, and that’s where I see them winning it from. The likes of Juan Mata, Ramires, Eden Hazard, Frank Lampard, Willian, Oscar, John Obi Mikel, Michael Essisen, Andre Schurrle and David Luiz are all able to play in the midfield role, and their defence isn’t too shabby either.
John Terry and Gary Cahill have formed a strong partnership but Branislav Ivanovic is also available when he isn’t functioning on the right.
3) Opposition
All clubs have their weaknesses, but I see most having more than the Blues. City need to find form away from home to have chance of lifting the trophy and Arsenal could do with some added height and influence at the back, while they could also do with another forward. Manchester United are out of the running in my head because of their poor start and Liverpool, while having a great start, could be dismantled in January should Luis Suarez leave the club.
