Using Who Scored‘s statistic system, here are Chelsea’s five most creative players in terms of average key passes per game.

1) Juan Mata

The Spaniard missed a lot of the early action because of an injury but he has settled seamlessly back into the set up. Mata has made 15 key passes in his seven appearances, which averages out to 2.1 per appearance.

2) Eden Hazard

The Belgium international is one of the most creative outlets in the Premier League as he proved last season, and he has been mightily effective again this term.

He has managed 22 key passes already this term in his 11 games, which works out as 2 per game.

3) Andre Schurrle

Since arriving in the summer he’s had a mixed affair, but you cannot argue that he has not provided opportunities going forward. His pace has seen him cause all sorts of problems this season and he has racked up 14 key passes, averaging 1.6 per game.

4) Ramires

The Brazilian has been remarkable this season in the centre of midfield and has made 15 key passes in his 11 appearances which averages out to 1.4 per game.

5) Frank Lampard

the old dog still has it – Lampard has made 14 key passes this term which makes his average 1.3 per game.
